ChordedKeybinds
Overview
ChordedKeybinds is a mod for RimWorld
that teaches the game's input system about modifier chords. Out of the box, RimWorld's Keyboard Configuration menu only accepts a single key per
binding — there is no way to map something like Ctrl+Z or Shift+Alt+Q. This mod removes that limitation, letting you
bind full chords directly in the vanilla options menu and have them evaluated correctly during play.
What it does
- Chord configuration in the vanilla menu — hold modifiers and press a key to record a binding, shown with a clear, readable label.
- Left/right modifier distinction — differentiate left and right Ctrl/Shift/Alt when you want to.
- Modifier-only bindings — bind an action to a modifier on its own.
- Chord-aware conflict detection — the same base key can safely coexist across different modifier combinations.
It hooks the existing keybinding UI rather than replacing it, supports A/B binding slots, does no background processing, and works across RimWorld 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6.
